Shoreline Dance Classes
Registration for our 2024/25 Academic Year will be available for current students in the Parent Portal starting on July 5th at 5:00pm. Priority registration will last one week.
Current students who do not meet the ages requirements, but have been leveled up by instructors, will need to reach out to the Administrators to enroll. Troupe and Advanced students (Level 2 and up) will need to contact the Administrators to enroll.

Pre-Dance: 2-3 Years Old
Tippy toes for toddlers and a caregiver
Great introductory dance class for Toddlers ages 2.5-3.5 and a Caregiver! Learn class setting, musicality, listening skills, and creative movement! This is a great class to try before registering for our pre-dance classes. One caregiver will be allowed to participate in classes through the end of March. Our goal for the end of the year will be to have instilled independence in our younger students so that they can perform as a group without their caregivers!
Pre-Dance: 3-4 Years Old
Pre-Ballet
A fun, creative, and developmentally appropriate introduction to ballet fundamentals. Students experience movement concepts and work toward building their dance skills in an exploratory and fun environment. Even better when combined with a tap or hippity hop class!
Pre-Ballet/Tap
A fun, creative, and developmentally appropriate introduction to ballet and tap fundamentals. Students experience movement concepts and work toward building their dance skills in an exploratory and fun environment.
Hippity Hop
Bounce along to the beat in this introductory hip hop class! A great option for students looking for something a little different but still want to learn dance and classroom fundamentals! Even better when combined with a ballet or tap class!
Pre-Tumble/Tap/Ballet
This special hour long class packs in three types of dance and movement for one great learning experience! Students will work on balance and flexibility with ballet, coordination and articulation with tap, and safe movement and body awareness with tumbling. A great class for high energy students or students looking for something new!

Level 1: Ages 7-10
BALLET 1
A beginning class for students aged 7 and older who want to delve into the world of ballet or graduating students from our 5-6 classes. Students will learn ballet fundamentals with barre work, across the floor exercises and connecting steps. Even better when combined with a jazz, tap, or lyrical class.
TAP 1
A beginning class for ages 7 and older, this class is a great step for students new to tap or graduates from the 5-6 year old tap/ballet classes. Through fun music and energetic dance steps, this tap class will introduce fundamental tap steps and routines. Even better when combined with a ballet, jazz, or lyrical class.
JAZZ/HIPHOP 1
A beginner level combination class is the perfect introduction to the high energy steps and syncopation of jazz, and the rhythm and motion of hip hop. Jazz and Hip Hop are the two most popular forms of dance, and are a great option for students new to dance and is even better combined with a ballet or tap class.
CONTEMPORARY 1
As seen on So You Think You Can Dance and many music videos, this is a strong expressive style of dance that focuses on storytelling through movement and emotion. Students will learn dance fundamentals and are encouraged to express themselves through dance. Contemporary is even better when combined with a ballet or jazz class.
HIP HOP 1
Pure hip hop for your ages 7-10 student! Hip Hoppers will learn warm ups, combinations, and isolations to age-appropriate music. Hip Hop is a fun alternative to classical styles of dance, and is a great addition to your jazz or ballet!
DANCE THEATER 1
Discover the sparkle and energy of musical theater style dance! This class will focus on jazz fundamentals and stylistic concepts from music theater and Broadway. Perfect compliment to your regular jazz or ballet class, and a fun intro to dance!
Level 1A: Ages 10+
CONTEMPORARY 1A
Expand on technique in this strong, expressive style of dance that focuses on storytelling through movement and emotion. Students will learn dance fundamentals and are encouraged to express themselves through dance. Perfect for students moving up from Contemporary 1 or over age 10.
JAZZ/HIP HOP 1A
The next level for this combination class, students will learn more complicated combinations and become stronger dancers through application of fundamentals from previous years. High energy and lots of fun, this class is perfect for students graduating from the 1 level, or new students that have previous dance experience and are over 10.
HIP HOP 1A
For students graduating from Hip Hop 1, this class will challenge students with more complicated combinations and routines. For the dedicated student who wants to become stronger and more coordinated, Hip Hop 1A is a great continuation of previous classes and perfect for students over 10.
BALLET 1A
The next step from Ballet 1, students will continue to explore ballet. This class includes more in-depth barre exercises, across the floor work, perfecting technique on learned steps and introduction to more complicated vocabulary and steps. Previous ballet experience is required. Ballet 1A is even better when combined with a jazz or contemporary class.
TAP 1 A
For students graduating Tap 1, Tap 1A will continue focus on tap skills and movements. A focus on more complicated steps and perfection of previous skills in a fun and creative environment. Even better when combined with a ballet, jazz, or dance theater class!
DANCE THEATER 1A

Teen Dance
Teen COntemporary
This teen specific class is perfect for students ages 12-16 who have never danced, or have taken some time off from dancing in the past, and want a fun, age specific class with their peers. Designed for beginners through intermediate levels, students will learn the Contemporary fundementals, while being supported and challenged.
Advanced Classes
(PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE AND AGES 12+)
Advanced class students must contact the front desk for enrollment.
CONTEMPORARY 2
Intermediate level dancers moving up from Contemporary 1A will be challenged and expand on technique and expression in this next level class.
CONTEMPORARY 3
Advanced level dancers will find this class perfect as they grow and learn more complicated combinations and fundamentals.
HIP HOP 2
The next level for our students advancing from Hip Hop 1A, expand on technique and push yourself harder!
HIP HOP 3
Advanced Hip Hop dancers moving up from Hip Hop 2 will find themselves challenged in this advanced class.
JAZZ 2
A special hour and fifteen minute class for students with previous experience, jazz 2 will delve deeper into syncopation of movement to music and body rhythm. Students will learn more complicated combinations and broaden their dance repertoire. Dancers who supplement with another upper-level class like ballet or dance theater will see results faster.
JAZZ 3 - 4
For students graduating from Jazz 2 or Ballet 2, Jazz 3 continues honing skills in jazz, with a focus on strength and flexibility. Dancers who attend Jazz 3 are required to attend one other technique class a week for their physical safety. Dancers can choose between Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, or Troupe
BALLET 2
Ballet 2 is an hour and fifteen minute long class for students 11 years and older who have had previous ballet experience. This class will cover more advanced steps and combinations, in depth barre work and encourages students to express themselves through ballet. Teacher recommendation may be needed for new students.
BALLET 3 - 4
For students graduating from Ballet 2 or Jazz 2, Ballet 3 -4 will continue to hone their skills in ballet. A focus on strong barre work, balance and coordination, and across the floor exercises will continue in this class. Dancers who attend ballet 3 - 4 are required to attend one other technique class a week for their physical safety. Dancers can choose between Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, or Troupe
PRE-POINTE AND POINTE
Our introductory pre pointe class is designed to be taken alongside Ballet 2, 3 or 4. This class is intended for older, experiences dance students who are committed to developing the strength, technique and injury prevention habits to move into Pointe work. This class will focus on feet strength, ankle strength, stretching, and movement technique necessary for successful pointe work. Class is taught in traditional ballet slippers. Students will be recommended for pointe shoes on an individual basis by the instructor. Most students will need at least one year of pre-pointe before moving up into pointe shoes. Returning Pointe students will be pushed and technique expanded on.
Before considering Pointe work, it is recommended that dancer’s visit a doctor to assess the structure, strength, and development of the foot for the demands associated with pointe.
TAP 2
For students moving up from Tap 1A. Tap 2 is an introduction to intermediate/advanced tap technique focusing on rhythm and musicality. A fun class for experienced dancers! Best when combined with Ballet, Jazz, or Dance Theater.
TAP 3
For advanced students leveling up from Tap 2, Tap 3 will expand technique and skill. A great class for advanced Tappers!
